New Community Diagnostic Centre Annouced

News has been announced that a brand new Community Diagnostic Centre is coming to Stoke-on-Trent - one of 13 across the country set to open by the end of the year.

This facility will see diagnostic capacity increased, reducing waiting times and pressure on the Royal Stoke. Patients will get faster access to scans and tests and there will be state-of-the-art equipment to deliver CT, MRI, X-Ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, phlebotomy, respiratory, cardiology and sleep studies tests and scans.

When fully rolled out, it will have the capacity to deliver 85,000 checks, tests and scans annually serving the whole of Stoke-on-Trent.

Dr Chandra Kanneganti, a local GP and Conservative Candidate for Stoke-on-Trent Central said:

"This is fantastic news for Stoke-on-Trent. The new diagnostic centre will help to reduce current waiting lists for scans and tests and will provide faster access to tests and scans for residents across the city."

Jonathan Gullis MP for Stoke-on-Trent North said:

"This is a clear sign of the governments commitment to cutting waiting lists for tests and scans. Whilst Labour flip-flop, Rishi Sunak and our government are getting on with the job and are taking action to deliver on our promises."

Jack Brereton MP for Stoke-on-Trent South said:

"I welcome the news that our city will get a new diagnostic centre. This is fantastic new centre which will directly benefit residents, providing access to quick scans and tests ensuring that diagnosis takes place within the community."
