Jonathan Gullis MP

The Prime Minister has appointed Jonathan Gullis, Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove & Talke as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party.

The MP for Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke will join Party Chairman, The Rt Hon Richard Holden MP, and the other Deputy Chairs in leading the Conservatives into the General Election – expected in the second half of the year.

Commenting, Jonathan Gullis MP said:

“Honoured to be asked by the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, to become Deputy Chairman of the Conservatives.”

“I have been a member of the Party since I was eighteen years old and have served as an Association Officer, Councillor and MP winning elections against the Liberal Democrats and Labour Party.”

“I will continue to be out and about across Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke, come rain or shine, meeting with local people, delivering leaflets and knocking on doors, taking the fight to Sir Keir Starmer’s hapless & hopeless Labour Party.”

“Locally I have worked hard to reverse Labour’s decades of neglect and catastrophic legacy in Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke. This includes funding to breathe new life into Tunstall’s old Library and Baths; refurbished and reopened Kidsgrove Sports Centre; created over 500 brand new jobs for the Home Office in Stoke-on-Trent and creating up to 1,700 jobs at Chatterley Valley West; recruited 333 additional Police Officers in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, and secured funding to bring in fairer fares and better routes to improve local bus services; over £200 million to fix our broken roads and pavements; and secured funding for a new outpatient building at the Haywood Walk-In Centre.”

“The Conservatives have put the Potteries back on the map and we will continue to deliver change our area has needed for so long.”
