Road defects left unrepaired - with Labour set to cut money for potholes further next year.
Labour-led Stoke-on-Trent City Council has again let residents down, after two pothole-ridden roads have been left unrepaired for more than six months. Leek Road and Maunders Road, which fall into the Baddeley, Milton and Norton ward saw reports submitted by concerned residents and local ward Councillors Dave Evans and Carl Edwards - but the roads remain unrepaired over six months later. Additionally, the state of Leek New Road, also within the ward, is due to be raised by Cllr Dave Evans during Members Questions at a meeting of the full council on Thursday.
Ward councillor Dave Evans said: "I am continuing to raise the issue of potholes on both Leek Road and Maunders Road. Both road surfaces are some of the worst in my ward with holes which have been reported more than six months ago. I did re-report Maunders Road this week. I will also be asking a question at this week's full council on the timelessness - or not - of repairs at present."
