Stoke-on-Trent Conservative’s have won their second by-election in as many months, taking the Penkhull & Stoke ward following the resignation of the independent Councillor in May.
Dean Richardson was successfully elected as the first Conservative Councillor for the Penkhull & Stoke ward on Thursday 1 July, beating Labour who came second place. The Conservatives increased their share of the vote on the 2019 local election result by 34%, a vote in confidence in the Conservative’s positive view and plan for the city.
“It is an honour to be elected for Penkhull & Stoke. Protecting The Croft greenspace, tackling the smells from Walley’s Quarry landfill and working to get more roads and pavements resurfaced across the area, these are some the priorities I was elected on and I will be working on them with local residents,” said Councillor Dean Richardson.
